  • The Ruth Bancroft Garden & Nursery | 1552 Bancroft Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598

The Ruth Bancroft Gardens in Walnut Creek is a world-famous garden that houses an incredibly diverse collection of plants from all over the world. In late winter and early spring, when most landscapes are drab, Ruth’s garden positively gleams with an array of fabulous textures, colors, and blooms that will delight you no matter where you look!

Ruth Bancroft’s love affair with succulents began in the 1950s when she became interested in aeonium hybrids and planted her first specimen, ‘Glenn Davidson.’ Her collection of plants grew considerably as time went on. Ruth created this 3.5-acre garden from an original private space that quickly outgrew its area thanks to Ruth’s expertise and determination to cultivate these amazing drought-tolerant species for everyone else!

Ruth Bancroft Gardens is the first garden in America to be conserved by The Garden Conservancy. Mrs. Bancroft gardened well into her nineties, and though she died at age 109, her legacy lives on today with people from all over coming to marvel at this splendid place of flowers that continue blooming for many years even after being created decades ago!

When Woodland’s School opened their doors in 1982, they started teaching kids up until 8th grade on campus shared by both schools; but after some time there were more than enough children transferring between campuses that Contra Costa Christian Schools agreed to amalgamate into one single entity – serving all ages of K-12 education under one roof!

Contra Costa Christian Schools has remained true to its original purpose of preparing the next generation with Christian principles and a strong academic foundation for almost 40 years. The arrows of the Oakland, California flight path were installed along with fifty-foot beacons in 1923. They originally directed airmail planes across America and became obsolete when radar was developed which could track flights at night but they still can’t beat these arrow’s sheer charm. The towers are mostly gone now because steel from them was needed for wartime purposes but many arrows remain including one that is a “double arrow” configuration near Oakland, CA.

Spend a day at the Airmail Navigation Arrow and enjoy great views of Mount Diablo in East Bay from high up on top. Visitors can also take in various beautiful landscapes as they gaze down upon them, including Walnut Creek Valley to the West.

Living in Overlook

Overlook feels like a tiny town, despite being in the city and having a high density of stores, with a lengthy sidewalk lined with restaurants, shops, and home bric-a-brac, all stacked side by side with almost nothing vacant. Residents can also find spiritual fulfillment at the following places of worship:

You may see them in our public ministry, you might have read about them or heard things from others. As Jehovah’s Witnesses they strive to adhere to the form of Christianity that Jesus taught and practiced with his Apostles. This article summarizes some basic beliefs;

God: We worship one true Almighty Creator who is named Jehovah (Psalm 83:18), He is the One True God of Abraham, Moses and Yeshua Messiah Himself!

The Bible is God’s word that was written for humans. The 66 books of the bible include both old and new testament combined in one book, with no preference to either side. This message has been translated into different languages all over the world so it can be shared from person-to-person or through these translations as well. In Jason BeDuhn’s own words he said “Jehovah Witnesses built their system of belief and practice from raw material found within this Book without predetermining what would be there.”

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a worldwide faith with over 16 million members centered on the belief that everyone on earth is a son or daughter, loved by their Heavenly Father. They believe His Son, Jesus Christ saved the world from sin and death while inviting all people to come unto Him through learning about his gospel as well as making covenants with God such as following commandments and practicing love towards one another which are just some ways they can become more like Him. The mission at hand for this church then becomes helping all children of god to come unto him through teaching them about his Gospel in addition to guiding them when it comes time for baptisms into full fellowship within its ranks after being taught what makes up pleasing promises made between themselves.

In 1975, a Chinese couple in Walnut Creek felt the need to start a Bible study. They started inviting professors from nearby universities for help and soon enough it became more than just an informal gathering of friends. The group’s demand grew so big that they had no space available at their church anymore; after talking with other faith organizations, Contra Costa Gospel Church found its new home – renting out spaces from Jewish Community Center until now where they have become one of the most well-known churches around!

What Is a Special Needs Trust?

A special needs trust is a way to provide support for a person who is physically disabled, mentally disabled, or chronically ill without reducing their eligibility for public assistance, such as Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. Special needs trusts are irrevocable. Two options are available: first-party and third-party special needs trusts (SNT). The simple distinction between a first-party SNT and a third-party SNT is that the first party is funded by assets that belong to the beneficiary and the third party is not.

A special needs trust can be set up as part of your estate plan to go into effect on your death or can be effective immediately to help the beneficiary now.

In California, first-party SNTs must include federal and state provisions and are repaid to the state when the beneficiary dies. The Department of Healthcare Services legally must recover up to an equal amount of the total medical assistance paid through Medi-Cal following termination of the trust. This is not true of third-party special needs trusts. Proper estate planning is critical to give the third-party option.

What Is a Child’s Trust

A child’s trust is created specifically for children and is managed by a trustee until the children have reached financial maturity. These are set up as an integral part of an estate plan to leave funds for children once they achieve a milestone, such as a specific age (usually 25 or older) or college graduation. A child’s trust is also referred to as a children’s trust or a minor’s trust. These trusts avoid probate, guardianships, and possibly taxes as well. They typically provide for the child’s care, support, maintenance and education until the age(s) you designate. As part of your estate plan, you can create both a special needs trust and a child’s trust to protect your special needs children. How you choose to allocate funds to each trust will depend on the age of your children and the severity of their disability.

Review Your Special Needs Trust Regularly

The best estate plans are reviewed regularly. Situations change, relationships begin and end, and children get older. To ensure that your children are properly cared for should you pass away before they are grown, you should be developing a comprehensive plan that you review regularly. If you are the parent of an older or adult child with special needs, you can create a special needs trust for them now, as part of your estate plan, to maintain them throughout their lives.
