Since 1953, the Sun Valley Pool has been a summer home for Lamorinda families. The pool, which is conveniently located off Pleasant Hill Road, offers a safe and pleasant extension of your own backyard, with a six-lane pool, wading pool for babies/toddlers, barbecue grills, and Wi-Fi access.   It’s not all about the water at Sun Valley. It’s about spending quality time with friends, family, and neighbors in a fun and relaxing atmosphere where pitching in is expected and supporting our children takes priority. It’s an excellent method for kids and families to spend the summer together.

Redwood Regional Park is an amazing place for anyone to go and enjoy the natural beauty of the redwoods. It has a wide range of trails that are open for hiking as well as biking. There are also several picnic areas with tables, BBQs, and fire rings. The park is located in Redwood City which is just south of San Francisco, so it’s a perfect day trip destination from either city. The park can be accessed by car or public transportation via SamTrans bus lines 280X or 283X from downtown SF or Caltrain from downtown Palo Alto/San Bruno Station at 101 California Ave., Redwood City Station at 1299 El Camino Real, Whipple Avenue Transit Center at 1000 El Camino Real (formerly known as Redwood City Transit Center), and Ravenswood High School at 1001 East Rd, East Palo Alto. Public restrooms are available at the Visitor’s Center as well as outside of the main park off of Tocaloma Blvd. However, there are no restroom facilities in any non-developed areas within the park including trails and picnic areas. There is a $6 parking fee at the park and SamTrans bus fares are $2.50 each way if you go by bus, so bring some extra cash to help out with gas and toll fees if you plan on driving there. There is also an option of purchasing an annual pass for $35 which will give you unlimited access to the park for the entire year.
